Over the past 8 weeks a community of mentors, businesses and civic institutions from across Wellington have been supporting the Low Carbon Challenge.
What is Low Carbon Challenge all about?
The Low Carbon Challenge is a unique programme that highlights the collaborative power of Wellington and brings together people and businesses from across the city to support the launch and growth of tangible solutions.
Driven primarily by Wellington City Council, Enspiral and PledgeMe and supported by organisations across the city, the Low Carbon Challenge challenge is a mix of workshops, public and private networking events to help teams to sharpen their ideas, validate their businesses, build a community, connect with mentors and launch crowdfunding campaigns.
At the end of the crowdfunding campaigns, organisations from Wellington’s Low Carbon Partnership Fund will dollar for dollar match the money raised by the public. This gives the teams a big burst of momentum, connections and funding to help bring their ideas to life faster and stronger.
